My friends and I were looking into streaking our hair with pink or purple and wanted to try the Kool-Aid trick. We weren't sure if it was permanent or how to actually do it. HELP!
How long does it take to wash out hair that has been dyed with Kool-Aid? also...How do you recommend dying it?
I don't know about Kool Ade, but I know you can use food coloring. I mixed red and green together to get a nice shade of brown, so my daughter could be Posh Spice one Halloween. It doesn't stay in your hair long, but be careful it will dye your skin too.

It DOES NOT wash out. It literally stains your hair. I did it when I was 12. I had to go to an old-lady hair salon and have my whole head of hair dyed dark enough to cover it up. The other option was to cut it off.
