Is it bad to use bleach for your hair?

I'm not bleaching my entire head, just a few streaks so I can get a vibrant red or pink. My hair is dyed black with semi-permanent dye ((Low peroxide, no ammonia)) and my hair is in very good shape. How damaging would bleach be?

Yes it is bad to bleach your hair. It kills these things your hair has causing it to feel like crap. I've done that once to my hair and it felt like a barbie's hair and it wasn't fun. :D. so yeah. But dying isn't bad.

I don't think it will be damaging, you just might get a weird color when you put it over the black dye.

However, since you're dying your hair pink, I don't think you're too worried about "weird" colors, so I say go for it. At very worst it might come out a tiny bit grey--the pink/red dye it counteract it, anyway.

Well it does damage your hair a bit but the worst that could happen is your hair could fall out if they put the bleach in for too long or if you bleach it over and over again

My hair is bleached. I have to keep it conditioned and moisturized to prevent it from drying out and breaking off. It's not damaging as long as you take care of it.
