I been seeing some girls wit one pink strand of the hair dyend pink...kind of like Rachel McAdams, I want to do it..my hair is a medium blond (jennifer aniston blond) how would i go about doing that would it look good??? I want to do in on the bottom side

ive had my dark blonde/light brown hair dyed black and hot pink for about 5 years now....its easy to do but alot of upkeep.

first you need to bleach the part of your hair that you want pink. go to a beauty supply store like Sally and buy 30 volume peroxide (a small bottle is a few bucks) and a packet of bleach powder. I like the one that comes in a blue packet--i forget the name. follow the directions and mix a small batch and put on your hair. it should take the color to a pale yellow in about a half hour or less. if you're just doing the tips and not the roots, you probably wont have todo this again. roots will require touchups. just dont overbleach the tips or they get scraggly looking.

wash the bleach off when its done to make it stop bleaching. let the hair rest for awhile--a day if you can.

then put the pink dye on. i use manic panic hot hot pink. i put it on the bleached areas then cover my head in a plastic bag, hit it with a hairdryer for a minute and then leave it on up to 45 minutes. then just rinse.

it should last about a week before touchup pink is needed.
