I have very dark hair and I want to dye my hair blue or pink without bleaching it.

Is there a certan type that I can buy that will dye over my dark hair? And where can I find it?

Unfortunately if you try to color your hair without bleeching it first you won't get very far. There are a very few product lines that can lift color and deposit it in the same process and they are professional color lines. In order for the blue or the pink to show up in your hair you need to take out the rest of the color. For instance, if you're going to a blue color and your hair is a dark brown you need to first take out the red. If you simply put blue on it it will turn black.

If you really want this done I would suggest going to a salon that does this type of color service and they will be able to do it for you. They will also be able to help you on the upkeep of the color and your hair condition so that your pink or blue doesn't fade out after two weeks and you won't have to redo it very often. Good luck!

my brother has black hair and he has dyed his pink and blue and several other colors. you dont have to bleach it first. go to a store like sally hanson and they should have the stuff there to do it with.
