I dyed my hair pink about two month ago and only the outgrown roots are still pink and i want to dye it red. will it turn out all weird or normal?

I use punky color Turquoise, which is a green-blue, and when it fades to a nasty green, I sometimes dye over it with a true blue dye to get some more blue color back. It's not perfect, but it doesn't do anything weird. I think these semi-permanent hair colors are as predictable as watercolors or mixing up food coloring...I think you won't have any trouble putting red over the faded pink you have now. I would worry about dying over the old pink using a lighter color or a completely different color, but since pink is related to red, and the pink is surely very washed out after 8 weeks, I think you'll achieve a fairly even all-over red. BUT -- I am assuming you have light colored hair naturally. If you bleached your hair before applying the pink dye, you will have to bleach your new growth (the roots) before adding the color. Trust me, you do NOT want to "color" your hair again. Let a pro do your hair but have her use a "color" that's natural looking not shocking unless that's what you consider cool.

Well my friend used the manic panic pink color and she has medium brown hair. At first the color was kind of over whelming! For maybe 2 days it was like a neon pink, but soon it faded some and it basically was a normal hot pink. I think that the red dye would be darker but still have a great vibrant color.
