What color should I die my hair? I need your opinion, so what do you think?

I'm a thirteen year old girl and my parents finally agreed to let me die my hair. There are conditions of course:

I can't lighten it

I can't do anything drastic

It can't be permanent

Reasonable. I have shortish brown hair and brown eyes, pink skin and a very round face. I was thinking about dieing my hair a natural looking red, (Remember, nothing drastic) but I don't know. What shade should I die my hair? I can darken my hair of course, since I can't lighten it, but I have no idea what shade to go with and mum isn't to crazy about raven black. and what brand of die should I use. I'm a first time hair dyer and I need advice!! Please help!!!

Red is hard to wash out, and no dye is temporary. No dye. Even if it says "washes out" it won't. Now, if you are comfortable with that...

I would get a highlighting cap and wand, and a pretty shade of auburn. Have your mom pull strands through the cap (she will LOVE being involved) and use the auburn color instead of the bleach that comes with the highliting kit.

I suggest any brand that says "washes out in 28 shampoos." You get what you pay for with hair color, so don't go with a dollar-store box. Get something you have seen advertisments for or any kind out of a beauty supply store. Check your local yellow pages.

Truthfully, I think that you need to find a color that looks good with following:

skin color

eye color

shape of face

Just look at a few colors and think about yourself. You are the one doing it, we aren't. Good luck, hope you find something you like. =]
