URGENT!!!! Home coming makeup and hair?

My homecoming is on Friday and i need help with what to do. i have no clue what to do with my hair or makeup. I have just below shoulder-length brown hair with bangs and my dress is a black on pink strapless. For my hair i want something like a half up-do nothing fancy and need some really cute makeup ideas that would go good with my dress. if you could help me soon that would be great.

Let's talk makeup first: First, start with clean AND moisturized skin (even if your skin is oily or acne-prone it is still essential that you start off with adequately hydrated skin).

Next: Choose what your focal point will be eyes or lips or even cheeks.

My fave look for your type of dress and event

(The eyeshadow kit I use is Dior's 5-Color eyeshadow kit in Incognito but the colors are basic and can be easily found for cheaper if need be).

1. Apply foundation/concealer to match your skintone. In my opinion only apply as much as you need, not your entire face; it looks more natural and is better for your skin's health that way.

2. Apply bronzer (only if you want/need to: I personally don't use it).

3. Apply a pretty baby pink blush like Cover Girl's Classic pink or Chanel's Be-bop

4. Start with a nude eyeshadow to even out your skintone on your eyelids

5. Apply a dark brown shadow to your crease

6. Apply a sparkly, glittery pink and sparkly lavendar shadow to your lids

7. Apply mascara (black, black-brown) to both your upper and lower lashes (curling is optional)

(You can also apply smudged dark brown, charcoal, or black eyeliner to the upper and lower lashes for a slightly smokey effect. Choose your color based on coloring and/or personal preference with your dress).

8. Prime your lips with an untinted lip balm like Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm or colorless Chapstick. Then, apply a clear gloss

9. Apply a soft pink lipstick and top with a matching gloss.

Note: Apply powder only to the oily, shiny areas of your face too much may look overdone, old fashioned and cakey.

Hair I would do a curly half up half down do or a curly ponytail. Look at Emmy Rossum or Miley Cyrus for more great curly/wavy hairstyles as well as more makeup ideas. For more makeup ideas, also consider celebs like Keira Knightley, Jennifer Garner, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rose Mcgowan and even some slightly older celebs like Shannen Doherty and Winona Ryder and even the beautiful and classy Audrey Hepburn (timeless elegance girl) in addition to Emmy and Miley. I'm a teenager too for ref.

okay calm down, homecoming is not that important i looked cute for mine but no one really noticed . everyone was in their own world so do your hair half up half down maybe do some curles and makeup nothing to dark cause in the light in the dance may be dark an then youll have racoon eyes lol well that what i would do

I can atleast suggest something for the hair, one of the cutest trends out there now is the poofy clipped back bang look. It's really good. Just tease your bangs up and clip the ends with cute clips (sparklies rock) or even just bobby pins to the middle or back of yoru head, depending on your bang length, leaving them a little poofed. Black eyeliner with pink (but not TOO pink) eyshadow would look cute, and a cute redish lipstick/lipgloss depending on your skin toan, and a fresh loko for foundation (Try true match powder foundation) and a little blush (You'll get naturally flushed dancing anyway) Okay, hope this helps!

URGENT!!!! Home coming makeup and hair?

Oh god on saturday I had to do so many homecoming makeup applications. It was hectic!!! Well ya didn't say what color your eyes were or what face shape ya have cuz that really makes a difference on applying makeup correctly. If your wearing black and pink I would do a smokey charcoal on your eyes (top and bottom) get some falsey's if u have any and a light, shimmery pink lipstick. Always apply a base coat on the lips first similar to your lip shade, then a pink lipliner(light) and coat with a shimmery lip gloss. Accentuate your eyebrows and upper cheeks by applying a pale pinkish highliter. Looks wonderful on the dance floor. Good luck.
