okie im gonna cut my hair like da top short and bottom long

and den the bottom of both side of my hair . I want to do tiny part of my hair blond with stripe pink like a zebra but i dunno wah color hair would match with it......

i have light brown hair that has a golden tint to it from when i had it highlighted about 5 months ago and i have a hair appointment tomorrow to get my hair cut and highlighted pink. but not bright pink.. maybe just like a suddle pink.. or even a reddish. is there any way i could get this done without bleaching or completely dying my hair blonde first? any suggestions and pictures would be awesome!

My hair is naturally black, but I went lighter when I was going through a summer makeover bit.

I'm dying my hair to jet black. Then I'll be bleaching some portions professionally and going to town with Special Effect's Cupcake Pink.

How much time should it be between dying my hair black then bleaching?

Additionally, will the cupcake pink show if it accidentally gets rubbed onto the black hair???

I know Cupcake Pink is a fader... I want the nice contrast of the two colors.

expect about 2hours or a litlle more,depending on the hairdresser it could be less (less meaning she/he is a good hairdresser) the die wont rub of each other so dont worrie,die is designed for this and your question is a fine example,as u could lets say die it blue and white it would be realy noticable if the both dies collided,but they are designed to wash out wats known as ESCAPING DEATH (death meaning die) just a funny expression,when u wash the hair,any colours thats have landed on each othe will wash off but not the colour of your hair as such it will only wash out the colour that shouldnt be where it is.

If your hair is in good condition you shouldn't have too wait to long (couple days) Definitely have it done professionally! The pink will only appear to color the bleached hair. Kinda like using a pink crayon on black paper, it won't show up, but will on white paper.

i have pink streaks in my hair too... and i use a dye that is exactly like special effects.. anyways the pink will only show up on the bleached bits , but if u really want to be extra careful , u can cut up some pieces of aluminum foil, and when you put on the cupcake pink , u can place the aluminum underneath it , , and then wrap it up , to keep it away from the rest of your hair

if i were you , i would bleach the pieces first , and then be very carefull , and wrap them up with in aluminum foil , or in little bags VERY securely, and then carefully apply the black .. but this could get confusing and messy ...

are you going to get the black done professionaly aswell ? because if you are , then they will be able to bleach the strands with out dying them black first .. i think that is your best bet , since it is damaging to go from black to bleach blonde

so i would have to bleach it first right?

after i my hair is bleached, it there a certain amount of time i have to wait to put the pink dye in?

If i were you i would go to the hair dresser to get your hair dyed bring all your hair dye and what not and let them dye your hair.

and Yes you have to bleach your hair, however it may take quite awhile to strip the black from your hair. (Bleach isn't good for your hair so you should be wary of that and buy some leave in conditioner to condition your hair once you get your hair dyed.)

No there is no certain amount of time you have to wait you would put it in straight after or a month later as long as you know what your doing and have read the instructions carefully.

Yes there are alternatives, get pink extensions or pink hair clip ins. Hoped this helped and good luck.

Yes you must pre-bleach the desired spots for the pink before you put the pink in unless your using a dye that bleaches as its colouring. And the person who answered above me is mean. Hair like that is awesome. I've had pink in my hair before but i currently have black %26amp; red in my hair right now.

you just have to bleach the parts that you want pink then you should wait 5-10 minutes. then dye it pink.

about 12 hours would be good. Also I think if your hair color is that gorgeous a light purple would look way cool. But hey i'm a pink fan too! I think it looks so cool! But bleach hurts clothes so be careful wearing colored shirts for 12 hours after bleach treatment.

bleach it and you really only need to wait for your hair to be dry before putting the pink in.

they say its better if you're hair hasn't been washed in a day or two but it doesn't matter so much

Used a coolshot hairdryer to dry it.

And then put the pink straight in.

Minr was fine.

I strongly recommend that you have a professional do it, especially if your hair is not naturally that color. Black hair color is pretty much like a tattoo on your hair %26amp; is very difficult to remove.

If you were to attempt the bleaching process yourself trust me ( I'm a hairdresser) you will not be happy with the results. It is a "process" removing black hair color %26amp; keeping the integrity of your hair intact. It is totally worth the money to have a professional do it %26amp; you will be happy with the end result.

I am naturally white blonde.

I have gotten highlights.

Brown with blonde chunky highlights

Black with blonde chunky highlights

Black with blonde bangs

Black with red highlights

And currently I have black hair with one pink chunky highlight

Well my mother wants me to go with her to the hair salon

And I have no clue what to do with my hair next.

Or is they will even touch it because of the black.

I do have curly hair

But I flat iron it everyday

I got my hair permed once, but I got bored with taking care of it, so recently I chopped off a foot of hair. People really like the radical difference. I can't wait, though. My dad is letting me get a blue highlight. ^^

since it is black...and not just black but its was dyed black. then there really isnt much you can do with it. you can't go really light or anything. in order for them to do anything they would need to bleach or strip the color out of your hair. which is a long process and will just end up damaging your hiar a lot. I have hair i have dyed black and i went to get red highlights in it. they had to bleach my hair and keep it in for a long time. and even then my highlights did not turn red.

i want to high'light my hair with the pink color, but my hair is dark blonde with no red in it whats so ever. it also has natural light blonde high lights, and salon blonde high lights. any way if i high lighted it would it wash out really fast? cuz i wash my hair like every day... and i might dye my hair a lighter shade of blonde before i do that too.. anyway do you think the color rays would work? i might put them in, then get more pink hightlights at the salon, and would it work on blonde hair?

bleach your hair first, or atleast what your highlighting, the highlights will show up more, and be less un-natural.

yes, if you wash your hair everyday, the pink will come out faster

make sure you use tinfoil if you're doing it yourself, and leave the conditioning color in for a long time.

Yes, it is work on ur blonde hair in any way to dye as saloon or at ur home. Always if you want bight color: blue, purple, red or pink; must dye blond before u dye color. :-)
