Hair Dying Advice Please!?

Right now, I have dark brown hair (my natural hair color) with bleach blonde underneath. The part of my bangs that are blonde are pretty fried and a little of it was accidently burned. But, the rest of my blonde hair is pretty healthy, just a little dry.

The last time I re-dyed my hair was about 2 months ago and I'm already bored with my current hair. I want to dye ALL of my hair black and dye just one streak of hot pink. I am also thinking of some white or bleach blonde around my bangs. My question is if I should do this or not. I don't know what would be better; to wait, cut it or if my hair is ok to dye right now. I do not want to end up with completely damaged hair. And if I do do this, would I dye my hair black or pink first?

Thanks a ton!!!!

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

No I don't adivse this at all. Even though this style can be done at a beauty salon not only would it be too expensive but It will also look unflatering. I don't recommend coloring your hair black because black color is very hard to get out of the hair and if you wanted to bleach your hair you would wind up orange and fried and you don't want that. Since you have naturally dark brown hair stick with a multitonal color which is not too exterme. Explore all the brunette and red shades for the most vibrant and naural looking shades. Steer clear of black because it will make you looked washed out and definately steer clear of blonde shades because bleaching your hair is the most damaging and touching up the roots are a pain. There is a new breakthrough at home color called revlon colorist. Revlon colorist is a breakthrough salon quality hair color will a color glaze system. Definitely try the red shades. Go red like Marcia Cross or Debra Messing. Try the revlon colorist #65 Light Auburn. It is the lighest auburn possible. Red color compliments brunettes because it evenly lightens the hair out. You can also try the revlon colorist #57 Red Brown. It is a beautiful red shade that is distillled with red. You will also have built in highlights and multitonal hair. It will look far more appealing than jet black hair which is a pain to lighten. After you colored your hair to keep the color vibrant use the John Frieda Radiant Red Collection shampoo conditioner plus glaze and the pantene pro V red expressions. Your hair will be beautiful shiny healthy and the color will be natural looking.

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

you should wait a little longer because just 2 months would be to much maybe another month or like 2-3weeks and if you still do it do black dye then hot pink next

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

You are better off going to a salon to get this done because they will do it right. You will probably dye all of your hair black, then try to bleach peices and add pink and you will end up with fried bangs, orange where the pink should be, and gray where you put black over blonde.

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

Hair is fragile, especially when you get it involved with different dyes. If you really want to re-dye your hair, make sure you give your hair some time to heal. Get it deep conditioned. Using products on it if you are going to use heat (a blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron, etc.). Ultimately, you should try not to use any heat on your hair at all, it's very damaging!

But have fun with your hair, maybe if you don't feel ready to dye it yet because you're worried about damaging it more then find a cute way for a new haircut! Or, a new way to pull your hair back or style it.

Experiment! Good luck!

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

warning may cause severe damage.. from the color switching.. I have been dying my hair for 5 years and I can't now because I have severe color damage.. and have to wait until I have all my natural hair color back.. its terrible.. and hair color is very damaging.. good luck

Hair Dying Advice Please!?

If you do this your hair is going to be ruined. I just thought I would let you know that first. Second you need to get the blond first in order to even get the pink. Do that first then get the rest black. Please get it done in a salon or you will have a mess. If you put a box dye on it, it will be harder to lift out later if you get bored w/ ur hair again which you probably will. all in all I don't even think you should dye it black. Hope I helped a little. Good luck. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

i have a short afro that i started to let grow in mid december. i wanted to know how long will it take for it to grow long enough to braid it also i use pink oil in my hair also pick it all the time and wash it. it true that wearing a du rag stop or slows my hair growth?

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

no, from what i know a du rag should make your hair grow faster cause its keeping your natural oils and moisturizers in, cause when you sleep with nothing covering your hair, your hair gets dryy

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

nah it doesnt just dont wear it so much.

my brother and his friend are going bold cos they wear hats too much.

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

Your du-rag actually protects your hair from breakage. It prevents your hair from rubbing against your pillow. I suggest waiting another few months before tying to get your hair braided. I hate seeing a man with short retarded braids. or if you are impatient go to a professional and get some weave braided in. If they do it right , no one will be able to tell.

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

if you get a du rag find one that is silk it stops your hair from breaking..keep your hair moisturized and in maybe 2 months depending on your hair type you will be able to get some braids..i don't use pink oil i find that it dries my hair out so i use motions..don't wash your hair all the time maybe once a week (for black people) if you do it alot it strips the oil from your scalp..it just depends on how active and sweaty you are how much you wash.. cotton scarfs or other types of du-rags will slow the process and cause it to break so like i said go with silk, besides stopping your hair from breaking it also allows your scalp to breath.. good luck

Does wearing a du-rag stop my hair.............................

No the du-rag does not stunt hair growth. Start using a moisturizing hair lotion that conatins natural herbs, vitamins, and minerals. I use Doo Gro.

What is the best way to help VERY damaged hair due to dyeing?

I put pink highlights in my hair with manic panic. On the 8th i attempted to dye my hair close to what color i keep it [i am naturally a mousy brunette and keep it a dark golden blonde]. All that happened with that was darker hair with more intense pink streaks. The next day i bought an at home hair striper. I striped only the pink and right around them. The hair around the pink went this hideous straw blonde. Then i attempted to dye over it but my hair would not accept any color. So i went to the salon from hell who told me that the only way they could fix this was to go with the pink and dye my hair red then brown. So thats what they did. I walked out with almost purple hair. I attempted to dye it brown and it still came out purple. Then i went to an AMAZING salon and they striped it and dyed it. With the exception of the pink this all happened to my hair in like 54 hours. My hair is now normally colored but horribly dry. Any ideas how to fix my hair and make it a little healthier?

What is the best way to help VERY damaged hair due to dyeing?

First of all, don't dye your hair so often.

Now this is a very useful and healthy method.

Seaweed.

Eat lots of it, seaweed has a lot of nutrients that makes your hair nice and shiny.

You can buy seaweed from asian supermarkets and stores :)

What is the best way to help VERY damaged hair due to dyeing?

Shampoo your hair with fingertips massage. That helps to stimulate blood circulation and improve the growth of new hair.

Never comb your wet hair, because then they are the most vulnerable.

Never sleep with tightly braided hair to prevent them from breakage.

Alive hair are breathing through their tips and this part needs the biggest care, cut them time to time and use the oil after washing.

Try to use your hair up more often, you must prevent your long hair from environmental damage if you want to have strong, healthy and shiny hairstyle.

Various masks are created to nourish and moisten your hair.

here you may find some more tips on helping your hair: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id270.ht...

What is the best way to help VERY damaged hair due to dyeing?

First of all, go to your hairdresser to just get a trim. Then purchase a loreal paris absolut repair hair mask. Apply this each time you wash your hair and leave on for about 3-4 mins. Once you have towel dried your hair, apply a split ends repair cream like this one

good luck!

What is the best way to help VERY damaged hair due to dyeing?

Use good salon products on your hair. Since you say it is damaged, I would recommend Joico K-Pak or Brocato Cloud 9 shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. They will repair damage, and help prevent future damage. Your hair will become stronger and healthier with those products. After you feel like your hair is back to normal, you can just use those shampoos and conditioners a couple times a week, and use a different kind of shampoo/conditioner for volume, shine, or whatever.

I never thought salon products made a difference, until I tried them for myself about 8 years ago. I'll never go back to using the cheap stuff again; good products really do make a huge difference.

I'm not really sure how to "tip" my hair in a different color..I need a safe easy, an

I'm going to a Fall out boy concert in May and me and my best friend are each getting our hair "tipped" in colors...since my hair is newly died champagne blonde I figured I would get pink ..and since her hair is also newly died raven black shes getting purple...WE REALLY NEED HELP...we need a safe..and Temperary way of doing this without screwing it up....

I'm not really sure how to "tip" my hair in a different color..I need a safe easy, and mosh pit approved way.

They make special kits that you can by to help you. Hair Salons like Sally's usually have some.

I'm not really sure how to "tip" my hair in a different color..I need a safe easy, and mosh pit approved way.

if both of you are starting out with light hair... you shouldnt be able to "screw up" to much because you wont have to bleach it. Just use color application brushes to apply the color, it makes it easier to get the color where you want and not anywhere you dont.

Be adviced..... if you hair is previously colored or in a "damaged" condition...even temporary color may not wash out completely and you may have to get a trim and cut off the tips when you're ready to get rid of the color.

GOOD LUCK!!

Will dyeing my hair darker hurt it more?

iput pink highlights in my hair with manic panic. i attempted to dye my hair back to what color i keep it [i am naturally a mousy brunette and keep it a dark golden blonde]. With the exception of the pink this all happened to my hair in like 54 hours. I deeply conditioned it for like a week. Now i really need it to be a normal color again. can i dye it darker blonde again?

Will dyeing my hair darker hurt it more?

it's going to be reallllly damaged!

How can I make the color in my hair last?

I recentley did pink streaks in my hair. I am using Fudge Paintbox hair dye. How can I get the color in my hair to last? It says 3-30 washes, but I'm having to redye it every few washes, and well, it doesn't come cheap when I end up having to pay 20 dollars a bottle every two weeks. So how can I make the color last longer?

How can I make the color in my hair last?

Make sure you are using a shampoo and conditioner designed to keep color in. For example, I use color extend by redken. It is gentle and will help to lock in your color. Also use very cool water after you've colored your hair and are rinsing out the excess, that will help lock in the color also.

How can I make the color in my hair last?

dont wash it for 72 hours

How can I make the color in my hair last?

just keep your natural hair. natural hair is hot.

How can I make the color in my hair last?

um, i dont know what ur doing wrong but if you bleach it, it should stay blonde or whatever colour it was...

How can I make the color in my hair last?

Keep it your natural color and it will stay until you're 50 or so, when it starts to turn greyish. Besides, do you intend on dying your hair every week for the rest of your life? Sooner or later your husband will see your original hair color, so why not sooner?

How can I make the color in my hair last?

try to take quicker showers

How can I make the color in my hair last?

Try shampooing every other day. This works if you don't use a ton of product or sweat a lot. There isn't usually a need to shampoo every day. This can help the colour stay longer. Also, try a colour conserve shampoo. Something that helps to lock in colour- look for one that contains less sulfates (this is what causes soaps, etc to bubble- it is a detergent). Using a brand like Redkin, Halo, Aveda can help too because they make specific types for colour conserving.

How can I make the color in my hair last?

there are alot of products out that will prevent color from fading to soon just look for them

How can I make the color in my hair last?

dont wash it so much!

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

I rescued my dog Max 2 months ago and when I got him he had a scab on his nose that they told me was from sticking his nose through the fence. now the skin is healed and nice and pink but no hair is growing. does it just need more time or is it not going to grow back?

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

more than likely it won't grow back but don't feel bad that is just a good thing that should make him all the more special and others tease those they are jealous of.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

See the vet

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It is probably scar tissue, which means it will not grow hair.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Paint a happy face on his nose and make sure he gets his fair share of peanut butter! He will be okay!

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

There is a good possibility it won't grow back. Scars do that sometimes. Just love him anyway.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It's a scar? So it may not ever grow hair back there. Time will tell.

EDIT: So your family continues to be emotionally abusive to a dog that you rescued from previous abuse? Have you pointed this out to them? If so, and they continue to do it, I wouldn't allow them around the dog anymore. What a bunch of brain dead idiots.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

it probably won't grow back. every time there's an injury where the hair grows, it never grows again. that happens to humans also.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It won't grow hair (unless you want to have some expensive plastic surgery done by a vet).

.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

it might not grow back

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Probably not, hair usually doesn't grow thru scar tissue.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

there's nothing wrong with that.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Of course! the hair would be back on where your dog got wound.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Give it a little more time....sometimes trauma causes the hair to grow back slower than normal....then again, it may never grow back....hopefully it won't matter one way or the other to you, so long as he's healthy and happy! :)

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It is possible good old Max might have damaged the follicles on that spot, creating scar tissue. In that case, likely the hair will not grow back.

Thank you for rescuing...and caring!

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Scar tissue is often to dense to grow hair through... It will give him character.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Possibly needs more time but if it is not going to grow back it may need sun protection during the summer. I am NOT sending you up, a friend of mine had a sun-burnt dog after it was clipped in the Summer. it is sad when this happens and they don't deserve it

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

i think u should get it time and if it dont grow back soon go ask the doctor or leave it alone!!!

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

soooo?! It's a memory, just make up a funny story about it to tell people. Ignore it. It's not on the outside that matters but whta's on the inside.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Its almost like getting a cut on your scalp or eyebrow. When scar tissue develops, it halts hair growth in the affected area.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Just like human scars, there is a good chance Max will not grow hair back on his muzzle. Most likely is that he destroyed the hair roots since he apparently kept re-injuring the area by sticking his nose through the fence. Other then being a cosmetic issue, it shouldn't make much of a difference to Max whether the hair grows back or not. I would keep on eye on the area in severe heat or cold so it doesn't sunburn or frostbite.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

it needs way more time if it doesn't heal in 10 months see a vet.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It may eventually grow some, but scar tissue is different than regular skin. I once had a motorcycle wreck and lost a lot of skin on my forearms, It eventual healed up ok, but you can still see where it happened years later because there are no freckles where the wounds were, although my arm hair did come back slightly. Your dog may get some hair back eventualy tho, it hasnt really been that long, it takes awhile

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Probably the best thing to do is to punch Max on both sides, of his face, hard, until scabs appear.

This way, he will have a wound in 3 spots on his face, making the wound on his nose much less noticeable.

Hope this helps!

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

i tink it depnds on wat age the dog is nd wat breed..

my friend dog is a scottish terrior nd she got in 2 a fite wit a cat nd the scares on her face cleared up fine..i hope the same 4 ur dog!!!!...lol

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

Scars may grow fur back very slowly, if ever. It will take some time to tell if the fur will ever grow back.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

It's just a scar. The hair probably won't grow back. No big deal, though... It shouldn't cause any other problems, so don't worry.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

If it has recently healed, it could possibly just not have grown hair back yet, but most likely it is scar tissue and hair will not grow there even with rogaine!!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all you can do is wait. So what if he is missing a bit of hair, don't let that stop you from loving him, because it won't stop him from loving you.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

If it's still pink, it may just be too soon for hair to have grown back, the skin has only just healed.

However, be aware that hair often does not grow on scars on animals! Not a big deal, it'll just be part of his uniqueness! So long as the wound's healed, that's the main thing.

Chalice

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

might not grow back ever. fiona is a rescue dog, and she had a large scar between her eyes and two small ones on her forehead since we got her. since she was abandoned, we have no idea how it got there, and its been two years. the vet says its just scar tissue

people always ask about them since shes a pit bull they assume shes a fighter. they dont hurt her, she doesnt notice them at all, so if shes ok with having naked spots, im ok with it too.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

I had a dog who got a scar on her face from a fight - it never grew hair back.

Dog has an old wound on face that won't grow hair!?

use some rogain on it
